Installation guide
Get started with Calveye
From download to your first detection in under 10 minutes. Follow the steps below to set up the farm PC app and the mobile app.
Part 1 — Farm PC
Install the Windows app
Download the installer
Click the button below to download the latest Windows installer.
Run the installer
Open the downloaded file and follow the installer steps. Calveye installs both the desktop app and the AI detector engine.
Launch Calveye and sign in
Open Calveye from the Start menu. Sign in with your Calveye account — or create a free account if you don't have one yet.
Start the detector
In the left sidebar, go to Station. Click Start to activate the AI detector. The status indicator turns green when the detector is running.
Part 2 — Cameras
Connect your cameras
Open the camera tab
Click the Cameras tab in the sidebar, then click Add camera.
Discover cameras automatically (ONVIF)
Calveye scans your local network for ONVIF-compatible IP cameras and NVR systems. Select your device from the list and enter its credentials (the username and password set on the camera itself — usually separate from the web interface login).
Or add a camera manually
If your camera doesn't appear in the scan, click Enter manually and paste the RTSP stream URL directly. For example:
rtsp://username:password@192.168.1.10:554/stream1Check your camera's manual or web interface for the correct RTSP URL format.
Save and verify
Click Save. Calveye will connect to the camera and show a live preview. A green status badge confirms it is online and being monitored.
Part 3 — Mobile
Set up the mobile app
Download the Android app
Download the APK to your Android phone and tap to install it.
Sign in with the same account
Open the app and sign in with the same Calveye account you used on the farm PC. Your farm and cameras are linked automatically.
Allow push notifications
When prompted, allow Calveye to send you push notifications. This is how you receive the calving alert — without this permission, no alerts will arrive.
You're all set.
Calveye is now monitoring your cameras 24/7. You'll receive a push notification with a camera snapshot the moment calving activity is detected.
