Privacy policy

Calveye is a free software product for AI-assisted calving detection on dairy and beef farms. It is developed and maintained by a single developer as a personal project.

When you create an account, we store your email address and display name. This is used to identify your account and send push notifications.

When the desktop app detects calving activity, it stores detection events in the cloud. Each event contains a timestamp, the camera ID, a confidence score, and optionally a short JPEG snapshot from the moment of detection.

To deliver push notifications, we store your device token (a unique identifier provided by the Android or iOS notification service). This token is used solely to route notifications to your device.

Your RTSP camera URLs and credentials are stored locally on your farm PC only. They are never transmitted to our servers.

We do not record or upload continuous video footage. Only short image snapshots at the moment of a detected event are stored.

We do not use cookies, analytics, or any third-party tracking on this website.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for any commercial purpose.

Account data, detection events, and push notification tokens are stored in Supabase, a cloud database platform. Data is hosted in the European Union.

Camera snapshot images are stored in private cloud storage. They are accessible only to members of your farm account — no one else can view them.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@calveye.com. We will process the request within 30 days.

Calveye is provided free of charge, on an “as-is” basis, with no warranties of any kind — express or implied. This includes but is not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of detection.

The developer is not liable for any missed detections, false alarms, system downtime, loss of data, or any direct or indirect losses of any kind arising from the use or inability to use this software.

Calveye is a monitoring aid, not a substitute for regular manual farm checks. Always maintain your normal calving supervision routine alongside using this software.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last changed. Continued use of Calveye after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
