Calveye is an AI-powered calving monitoring system for livestock farms. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use the Calveye website, the Calveye desktop application (Windows), and the Calveye mobile applications (iOS and Android). By using Calveye, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

When you create an account and use Calveye, we collect the following information:

• Account information — your email address and display name, managed by our authentication provider.
• Farm information — the name, country, and timezone of your farm or company.
• Station information — the name and a unique hardware identifier of the farm PC running the Calveye desktop application, along with heartbeat timestamps that indicate when the station was last active.
• Camera information — names, stream addresses, and technical metadata for cameras you connect, including manufacturer, model, firmware version, and IP address.
• Detection data — timestamps, detection labels, confidence scores, and snapshot images associated with calving events detected by the system.
• Push notification tokens — device identifiers for your iOS or Android phone, used to deliver push notifications.
• Notification preferences — your settings for which detection types trigger notifications and any quiet hours you configure.
• Technical diagnostic data — application log entries at warning level and above (including error messages and relevant identifiers) and hourly CPU and memory usage measurements from the farm PC. This data is used to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Early access request data — if you submitted the interest form on the Calveye website, we retain the name, email address, and any other information you provided at that time.

Video streams from your connected cameras are analysed locally on your farm PC by the Calveye monitoring engine. Raw video footage is not continuously uploaded to Calveye's servers.

When a calving event is detected, one or more frames captured at the moment of detection are uploaded to our secure cloud database. These snapshots are used to display the detection in the mobile app, enable remote monitoring, and support application functionality.

Uploaded images are not anonymous and may contain people, animals, or other content visible within the camera's field of view. Camera access is used exclusively for calving detection and the monitoring functions described in this policy.

A data collection feature — which uploads short video clips associated with detection events for AI model improvement — is available but requires explicit activation by Calveye and is not enabled by default.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Calveye service.
• Authenticate users and manage farm accounts.
• Process and display calving detections.
• Deliver push notifications and email alerts.
• Monitor service health, investigate technical issues, and improve reliability.

Your data is stored using Supabase, which provides database and file storage services. Detection snapshots and related media are stored in private, access-controlled cloud storage buckets. Push notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). Email notifications — such as team invitations and station offline alerts — are sent using Resend.

Access to your data is restricted to members of your farm account. Calveye operational staff can access data across accounts for support and troubleshooting purposes.

We do not make specific claims about server locations, encryption certifications, or other security properties beyond what our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Google, Resend) document in their own security policies.

We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be processed by the infrastructure providers listed above as necessary to operate the service. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

You can delete your Calveye account at any time by following the steps in the Account section of our Support page. When your account is deleted, your personal profile and farm data are removed.

Technical diagnostic logs and station performance metrics may be retained for a limited period as part of normal database operations and backup cycles. We do not make specific claims about the retention of backup data.

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, the right to obtain a portable copy, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing.
