Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to your use of Calveye.

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Calveye is in early development and should not yet be relied upon as a primary monitoring tool. The AI detection system is still being improved and may miss events, produce false positives, or experience delays. Do not use Calveye as a substitute for direct animal supervision. You remain solely responsible for the welfare of your animals.

1. About Calveye

Calveye is an AI-powered calving monitoring system for livestock farms. These Terms & Conditions apply to the Calveye website, the Calveye desktop application (Windows), and the Calveye mobile applications (iOS and Android). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Using the Service

To use Calveye, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. You agree to use the service only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable laws.

3. Camera and Equipment Requirements

Calveye requires:

  • A Windows 10 (or later) PC with at least 8 GB of RAM and a modern quad-core CPU, with the Calveye desktop application installed and running.
  • One or more IP cameras accessible on your local network, broadcasting a standard RTSP stream.
  • An active internet connection for cloud features, push notifications, and remote monitoring.

You are responsible for ensuring your equipment meets these requirements and remains properly connected and powered during calving season.

4. AI Detection and Limitations

Calveye uses artificial intelligence to detect calving stages from camera footage. AI detection is inherently probabilistic: detections may be inaccurate, delayed, or missed, and the system may produce false positives.

Calveye is a monitoring and decision-support tool. It does not replace direct animal observation, professional veterinary advice, or appropriate animal welfare practices. You remain solely responsible for monitoring your animals and for all animal welfare decisions.

5. Service Availability

We aim to keep Calveye available at all times, but the service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, internet connectivity issues, hardware failures, or circumstances beyond our control. Detection requires the farm PC to be running, connected to your cameras, and connected to the internet.

6. Intellectual Property

The Calveye software, AI models, website, and brand materials are protected by intellectual property law and remain the property of their respective owners. You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of Calveye without prior written permission.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Calveye is currently available at no charge during early access. Paid pricing may be introduced in the future. Any changes to pricing will be communicated before they take effect, giving you the opportunity to decide whether to continue using the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Calveye is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Calveye is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including losses resulting from missed, delayed, or incorrect detections.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Calveye app or website. Continued use of Calveye after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms.
